Integrated Spectacle for Real-Time Monitoring of Comatose and Paralyzed Patients
A single non-invasive eyewear system carrying EMG, blood pressure, intracranial pressure, EEG, near-infrared spectroscopy and a pupillometry camera — replacing six fragmented, often invasive instruments with one wearable device.
Patients in coma or with severe paralysis are assessed today through fragmented instruments: EEG for brain activity, invasive catheters for intracranial pressure, separate cardiovascular monitors. Each covers one parameter, most require a hospital, and one of them requires drilling into the skull.
The filed invention consolidates all six modalities into a spectacle frame. Nothing is invasive. Nothing requires an ICU. Clinicians get simultaneous, continuous physiological data — and for the first time, an objective measure of whether a rehabilitation protocol is actually working.

Augmented Reality Smart Helmet for Enhanced Emergency Rescue Operations
A rescue helmet that overlays victim locations, hazard alerts and optimal routes directly into a first responder’s field of view, backed by thermal imaging, gas and environmental sensing, and on-board survival prediction.
A firefighter entering a burning structure carries protection but no intelligence. Thermal cameras are handheld. Radios are separate. Triage is a judgement call made in seconds, in smoke.
The helmet fuses all of it. An ensemble model — XGBoost, random forest, SVM and an MLP — scores victim survival probability to drive triage in mass-casualty scenarios. YOLOv8 and DeepSORT detect and track victims with persistent IDs. A force-based pathfinder replans routes in real time as the building changes. Every module runs at the edge, because connectivity is the first thing to fail.

Robotic Inspection System for Crack Detection in Industrial Pipes
A crawling robotic system that traverses industrial pipeline interiors and identifies cracks and structural flaws without taking the line out of service.
Industrial pipeline inspection is either destructive, expensive, or both — and in most facilities it means shutting the line down.
The filed system crawls the interior under its own power, detecting cracks and material flaws in place. Developed at VIT Chennai under the mentorship of Dr. Florence Gnana Poovathy J.

Smart Agentic Toll System Using Blockchain
An autonomous tolling architecture in which settlement is executed by software agents against an immutable ledger, removing the reconciliation layer between operators, banks and vehicle owners.
Tolling today is a reconciliation problem dressed up as a payments problem. Disputes are slow, settlement is opaque, and every participant keeps their own version of the truth.
The filed application replaces that with agent-executed settlement against a shared ledger — auditable by construction, and settled without a clearing intermediary.

MRI-Compatible Multi-Parameter Patient Monitoring System
Continuous SpO₂, heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate and ETCO₂ monitoring inside an active MRI bore — without image artefacts, heating risk, or ferromagnetic hazard.
MRI’s magnetic field makes most conventional patient monitors either useless or dangerous. Sedated paediatric and critically ill patients are precisely the ones who most need continuous monitoring, and precisely the ones current equipment cannot safely serve.
The filed application addresses non-ferromagnetic sensing, electromagnetic-interference-tolerant telemetry within the suite, and a form factor light enough for ICU-to-MRI transport.
